Parish Council

The Parish Planning Council consists of the following officers and eight board directors (or their representatives), plus the Pastor(s) and other called workers:

The council serves as a point of liaison between the pastors, other called workers, officers of the congregation and the various boards in planning the total work of the congregation and to prepare the agenda for the four regular meetings of the Voters Assembly which are held on or about the fourth Sunday of the following months:  

• February--end of the year reports are made since we are on a fiscal budget.

• June--progress reports from boards, plus election meeting every two years.

• August--approval of Board programs for coming year.

• November--consideration & acceptance of budget for following year.

For the August meeting, the council coordinates the yearly plan of activity for the entire congregation, as well as proposing long-range plans for the development and expansion of Christ's work in our midst.  The council appoints a Nominating Committee to handle the selection of candidates for the biennial election of officers, directors and members of each administrative board.  Normally, the council  meets at least two weeks prior to the four voters assembly meetings, with a fifth meeting held as soon as possible after the biennial election.
