The choir held its annual spring concert on Sunday, March 30,
2008. The theme was "You Are the Christ" presenting Peter's
reflections on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus (music by Lloyd Larson,
narrative by David Burke). Jesus once asked "Who do you say that I am?"
It was Peter who immediately replied on behalf of the disciples. "You are
the Christ!" Through the transparency of Peter, we understand in a deeper
way, the message of Christ's sacrificial love. Through Peter's humble
response to Jesus' invitation to follow Him, we, too, are challenged to new
levels of service.
The choir was made up of the regular choir members, plus some extras who enjoy
singing for this special concert. The choir director is Evalyn Berndt. The accompanist
is Angie Pruter.
The choir meets for practice on Wednesday nights. The choir does
not meet in the summer time.
